Pearl City over #1 Kamehameha-Kapalama 1-0 (2OT PK) in state girls soccer semifinals

Congratulations to the Pearl City Lady Chargers who defeated #1 Kamehameha-Kapalama 1-0 (2OT-PK) Thursday night in the 2017-2018 HHSAA Division I Girls Soccer Championship quarterfinals played at the Waipio Peninsula Soccer Complex. The Lady Chargers won in penalty kicks 7-6 after 9 shooters.

Soraya Santos scored the game winning penalty kick to send the Lady Chargers to the championship semifinals against Kaiser tonight, 7:00pm at the Waipio Peninsula Soccer Complex – Main Stadium. Kaiser defeated #4 King Kekaulike 4-1 to advance.

#2 Mililani will take on Iolani in the first semifinal match-up tonight'at 5:30pm. Mililani defeated Kamehameha-Maui 6-1, and Iolani beat #3 Hilo 4-1 in quarterfinal match-ups last night to advance to the semifinals.

Congratulations also goes to Lady Chargers "Super Goalie" Naomi Takata who had a phenomenal performance against the Lady Warriors rejecting 10 shots on goal in regulation play on Thursday.
