Pearl City improves to 2-1 after 12-7 win over visiting Kapolei

The Pearl City Lady Chargers defeated Kapolei on Saturday 12-7 in OIA Western Division I Softball played at Pearl City High School. The Lady Chargers improved to 2-1 while the Lady Hurricanes are even at 2-2 in league play.

Pearl City’s Jozayah Inarte picked up the win for the Lady Chargers. Cira Bartolotti suffered the loss for the Lady Hurricanes.

The Lady Chargers scored 9 runs in the bottom of the second inning to take a commanding 9-2 lead and never looked back. Both teams were explosive at the plate with the Lady Hurricanes pounding out 10 hits to the Lady Chargers 11 hits highlighted by a homerun blast by Maiyah Faleafine-Lesu.

The Lady Chargers return to action on Tuesday, March 13 at Campbell. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00pm.
