City to hold Pearl City Complete Streets planning meetings in April

Complete Streets in Pearl City

Complete Streets is a transportation design approach that aims to provide safe mobility for all roadway users regardless of age, ability, or traveling by foot, bike, bus, or car. Complete Streets encourages physical activity, mitigates vehicle emissions, incorporates trees and landscaping, and considers community context and land use.

The City and County of Honolulu is required by ordinance (12-15) to consider Complete Streets features in all new construction, reconstruction, or maintenance of roadways.

The Department of Transportation Services (DTS) has a Complete Streets project in Pearl City and would like your input.

The project area focuses on Waimano Home Rd.  Additional roadways include Noelani St., Ho‘omalu St., Ho‘olaule‘a St., and Moanalua Rd.

Help us design streets that are compatible with the neighborhood’s character and needs by providing input at one of the following community events:
