Kanoelani Elementary, Pearl City Elementary receive $1000.00 Pearl City Shopping Center Gift Certificates Donations

I would like to thank Kanoelani Elementary and Pearl City Elementary for the opportunity yesterday morning, to present each of their schools with a $1000 donation of Pearl City Shopping Center gift certificates.

Kanoelani Elementary School Principal Stacie Kunihisa, and Pearl City Elementary School Principal Dr. Susan Hirokane, along with their wonderful staff and students, welcomed Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association Board Members, Shawn Sablan (President), Sheri Rolf (Rolf Adverting), me, and special guest Chuck E. Cheese.

Each year, the Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association presents two very deserving Pearl City District Complex elementary schools with 10 – $100.00 Pearl City Shopping Center gift certificates. The annual donations rotate between the eight Pearl City elementary schools.

Pearl City Shopping Center owner Duane Kurisu, the Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association Board and merchants, are proud and grateful to the Pearl City community for the opportunity to serve our residents and their ohana, as well as visitors to our amazing community with their products and services. Their success allows them the opportunity to annually donate  thousands of dollars each year to our 10 Pearl City District Complex Schools.

Mahalo Kanoelani Elementary and Pearl City Elementary for your warm welcome and amazing hospitality. It was a great and fulfilling experience for all us representing the Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association. Yesterday’s donation presentations have once again inspired us to continue to whole-heartedly support our schools with much needed financial assistance.

We truly value and appreciate the gift certificates that were donated to Kanoelani Elementary School!  We are planning to use the money to further fund our Academy and Enrichment programs that allow for student voice and choice.  Students are able to find their own "passion" and pursue hands on lessons in an area such as Sewing, Cooking or Media Productions!”

Stacie Kunihisa, Principal, Kaneolani Elementary School

“Pearl City Elementary faculty and staff are ever so grateful to receive the generous donation to improve the quality of our services to students.  The donation will enable our faculty to purchase student "hands-on" interactive learning multi-sensory materials.  The results of student experimentation will remain with our student's knowledge to carry them through each succeeding grade level.  Thank you to Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants for your kindness and foresight.”

Dr. Susan Hirokane, Principal, Pearl City Elementary School
