Hawaiian Electric contractors will begin making repairs to a 30-foot section of pipeline along Waipahu Depot Street Monday, requiring closure of a section of roadway to one lane and a temporary bypass along the Pearl Harbor Bike Path.

The work will take place across the street from the Honolulu Fire Department maintenance facility on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, through Friday, Nov. 16.

Barriers will block off a section of the Pearl Harbor Bike Path along Waipahu Depot Street for the duration of the project. A temporary asphalt bypass will be available to bike path users.

Area businesses will remain accessible during the project. A flagman will direct traffic around the excavation site where there is only one lane, and there will be signs and cones to alert motorists.
