Mahalo to Kanoelani Elementary School Principal Stacie Kunihisa, her staff, and students for welcoming aio founder and chairman Duane Kurisu and me to tour their campus on Monday, October 29, 2018.
Student Ambassador's Leah and Zion greeted both us with lei, and a thank you poster before leading the campus tour. Mr. Kurisu and I also visited the classrooms of three students who have been chosen to be featured in our "Stuck on Aloha" book, Keiki Chapter that will be released in Spring of 2019. 61 students representing the three classrooms will also have their inspiring "Choose Love" messages included in the chapter.
Stuck on Aloha is inspired by the overwhelming success of the Messages of Life – Healing WALL located at the Pearl City Shopping Center. Mr. Kurisu is the owner of the Pearl City Shopping Center as well as Watermark Publishing who is publishing the Stuck on Aloha book. I am the book's author.
Mahalo once again to Principal Kunihisa and the Kanoelani ohana for a wonderful experience for both Mr. Kurisu and myself. The students put a lot of their Heart and Soul into preparing for our visit to their school and classrooms with an incredible mahalo poster, gifts, and very special inspirational messages written and shared to us through the goodness of their Hearts. We were truly touched and appreciate them all.
