Leilehua gets past Pearl City 6-5 in OIA West Baseball

The visiting Leilehua Mules scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning to beat the  Pearl City Chargers 6-5 yesterday in Oahu Interscholastic Association Division I Western Division Baseball played at Pearl City High School.

Shyden Cordero earned the win in relief for the Mules. Cordero pitched two innings allowing no runs, no hits with three strikeouts. Cordero also contributed at the plate hitting 1-2 with a triple and two RBI.

Joshua Aribal took the loss pitching two innings while allowing two runs on two hits in relief of Pearl City starter Dacoda Agoto who pitched 4 1/3 innings allowing four runs on four hits with four strikeouts and two walks.

Pearl City dropped to 0-2 in league play while Leilehua is 2-1.

The Chargers travel to Kapolei to take on the Hurricanes on Friday with first pitch scheduled for 3:00pm.

The Mules will host Mililani on Saturday with first pitch scheduled for 11:00am.
