Pearl City picks up first regular season win 7-3 over Waianae

The Pearl City Chargers got into the win column after beating the Waianae Seariders 7-3 in Oahu Interscholastic Association Western Division Varsity Baseball played at Waianae High School on Saturday.

Charger starting pitcher Ranson Aquino earned the win. Aquino pitched 2 1/3 innings allowing no runs on 2 hits. Zarin Poopaa and Dacoda Agoto pitched in relief for the Chargers.

Jason Swift took the loss for the Seariders. Swift allowed 4 runs on 8 hits with 1 strikeout and 1 walk in 5 1/3 innings of work. Kai Keamo pitched 1 2/3 innings in relief of Swift while allowing 3 runs on 3 hits with no strikeouts and 2 walks.

Pearl City and Waianae are both 1-6 in league play.

The two teams return to action on Saturday, April 4 with Pearl City traveling to Leilehua to battle the Mules while Waianae heads to Kapolei to take on the Hurricanes. First pitch is set for 11:00am.
