Today marks that time of the year when a parade of floats decorated with beautiful floral arrangements, marching units, hula halau performing units, and cars of dignitaries come together as one and celebrate and honor the life and contributions of Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalaniana'ole  I would like to send a BIG MAHALO to all those whom helped my mom prepare and be part of this amazing, annual event.  My brother and I were going to help my mom's group at the starting line-up because she was trying to shake off a fever she had  and we wanted her to rest. . but she so hard head and by the time we got there we turned around and there she was. . .she managed to walk to us at the line-up to see and cheer her group on.

I witness first hand, what the meaning of Laulima (many hands working together)is all about.  Thank you to the following people who made this day possible:  (sorry in advance if I misspelled your name or or missed anyone else who helped)
