Kapolei takes down Pearl City 8-6 in OIA West softball

Kapolei defeated Pearl City 8-6 yesterday afternoon in OIA West D1 softball played at Pearl City High School.

Kapolei ace Jade Behic earned the win for the Lady Hurricanes. Behic pitched 7 complete innings while allowing 6 runs on 12 hits with 2 strikeouts and 3 walks.

Jo-Zayah Iriarte took the loss for the Lady Chargers. Iriarte pitched 4 2/3 innings while allowing 5 runs on 5 hits with 3 strikeouts and 1 walk. Maiyah Faleafine-Lesu pitched 2 1/3 innings in relief allowing 3 runs on 1 hit with 1 strikeout and 4 walks.

Kapolei's Larchelle Tuifao and Pearl City's Jo-Zayah Iriarte both powered homeruns. Maiyah Faleafine-Lesu blasted 2 homers with 4 RBI in the ball game for the Lady Chargers.

The Lady Chargers (3-6) return to action this afternoon against on the #1 ranked and undefeated Campbell lady Sabers (9-0) at Campbell High School. First pitch is scheduled for 3;00pm.
