The Pearl City Chargers improved to 2-1 in OIA D2 regular season standings (2-2 overall) after dominating the visiting Kalaheo Mustangs last night 34-13 at Edwin Bino Neves Stadium. The Mustangs remained winless at 0-3 in league play, 0-4 overall.

Kalaheo tied the game at 6-6 on a 6 yard toudown pass from
Mustang QB Isaiah Akiu to Jordan Neufeldt at 7:16 of the second quarter.

After Kalaheo scored on a 65 yard interception return and successful PAT at 1:38
of the second quarter that put them up over the Chargers 13-6, the Chargers struck back
on a 23 yard touchdown reception by wide receiver Isaiah Cruz-Amerperosa with :43 left on
the clock in the second quarter. The Chargers tied the game at 13-13 on Landon Chang's PAT.

The Chargers took the lead at 19-13 on a 7 yard touchdown run by Ali'i Gaspar with 8:04
on the clock in the third quarter. Kick failed. The Chargers would go on to score in the
second half on a safety, a couple Landon Chang field goals of 34, and 31 yards, and
on a late fourth quarter 15 yard touchdown run by Victor Atkins.
