Canyon throws for 371 yards and 4 TD’s in Pearl City’s 35-34 OT loss to Nanakuli

he Pearl City Chargers and Nanakuli Golden Hawks battled through four quarters and OT last night at the Golden Hawks home field in a dramatic 35-34 thriller that came down to a missed 2-point conversion pass that would have reversed the final outcome by a single point in the Chargers favor.

In the heartbreaking loss to the Golden Hawks, Charger QB Makana Canyon threw for an amazing 371 yards completing 24/39 passes with 4 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions. Canyon also rushed for 1 touchdown..

Charger wide receiver Isaiah Cruz-Amerperosa had a big night catching 6 passes for 204 yards and 1 touchdown to top all receivers. Joshua Gleason caught 6 passes for 73 yards and 2 touchdowns. Preston Hong hauled in 6 catches for 56 yards.

One defense, Pearl City's Bishop Foumai picked off Golden Hawks QB Sedric Crawdord.and also recorded 4 solo tackles in the ball game.

Winning Golden Hawks QB Sedric Crawford threw for 89 yards completing 13/28 with 1 touchdown and 1 interception. Crawford also rushed for and impressive 165 yards on 22 carries with 2 touchdowns.

Tahj Hauhio rushed for 65 yards on 15 carries with 2 touchdowns.

Nanakuli outgained Pearl City 352-327 of net offense with 263 yards via the Golden Hawks potent ground attack.

Nanakuli improved to 2-2 (3-3 overall) while Pearl City fell to 2-3 (2-4 overall).

Golden Hawks QB Sedric Crawford led his team through the air and on

the ground throwing for 89 yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for

165 yards and 2 touchdowns. Crawford is pictured with Golden Hawks

running back Tahj Hauhio who rushed for 65 yards and 2 touchdowns.
