Stuck on Aloha honored at Kanoelani Elementary School

Mahalo to Kanoelani Elementary School Principal Stacie Kunihisa, her staff and students for inviting Duane Kurisu and me to this morning's school assembly that honored Mr. Kurisu as the owner and publisher, and me as the author of our soon to be released "Stuck on Aloha" book.

Stuck on Aloha features in the book's Keiki Wisdom Chapter, current Kanoelani students, Sebastian Marker, Jaycie Kamakani and former student Owen Mehio for their inspirational leadership roles as Choose Love Ambassadors.

From the first moments that Mr. Kurisu and I entered the school, we were greeted by current Choose Love Ambassadors, received a warm welcome by the student body and school ohana, and were serenaded by the Kanoelani Choir in the assembly finale.

The students also presented us with an amazing mahalo poster that they created from their hearts, and that we will always cherish and proudly post for others to experience their appreciation and gratitude to those who care about them through their spirit of the Choose Love Movement hat they live and share with every day.

Our publisher, Watermark Publishing is inviting everyone to our Stuck on Aloha book launch, signing party on November 2, 2019 at Barnes & Noble Book Store at Ala Moana Shopping Center. Choose Love Ambassadors Sebastian Marker, Jaycie Kamakani and former student Owen Mehio will be featured at he event.

The November 2 event will be a fundraiser for Kanoelani Elementary with a portion of book and merchandise sales going directly to benefit the school. The Please see the attached flyers for more information.

Thanks again to Principal Kunihisa, Vice Principal Neil Blomberg, Vice Principal Lisa Tominaga and her Kanoelani ohana!

Have a wonderful weekend!
