Congratulations to Pearl City High School's Daphne Okunaga! You are amazing and truly deserve to be recognized at the highest level with today's announcement by President Trump of being a recipient of the 2018-2019 PAEMST – Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Technology.
It's also an amazing accomplishment that fellow teachers from our Pearl City District Complex, Richard Brian Ogawa (Kanoelani Elementary) and Daniel Taira (Lehua Elementary) were also named with Daphne, along with Nel Venzon, Jr. of Mililani High School as PAEMST recipients from Hawaii.
It's pretty cool that 3 out of 4 PAEMST recipients are from our Pearl City District Complex!
