University Jr. Bows sweep Pearl City 3-0 at state D2 volleyball quarterfinals

The University Jr. Bows swept the Pearl City Lady Chargers Thursday night 25-13, 25-14, 25-16 in the HHSAA State Division 2 Volleyball Championship Quarterfinals played at Farrington High School.

Milan Ah Yat led all scorers with 12 Kills for the Jr. Bows. Pearl City's Kenya Glenn led the Lady Chargers with 10 Kills..

Daphnee Makena Tong recorded 23 assists for the Jr. Bows with Pearl City's Madison Garcia one behind at 22 assists.

The University Jr. Bows advanced to the championship semifinals and will take on Waimea at 5:00pm at Kaimuki High School. Waimea defeated Hawaii Prep last night in five sets,  25-19, 19-25, 25-23, 16-25, 15-10 to advance.

Pearl City will play Hawaii Prep in the 5th place semifinals tomorrow afternoon at McKinley High School with first serve scheduled for 3:30pm.
