Thursday morning, for the nineteenth year in a row, a heavy snow flurry of winter powder dropped on the Momilani Elementary School campus. A total of 18 tons of snow flowed onto the parking lot near the school cafeteria. B and C Trucking dropped the first 9 tons at around 8:15am followed by another drop at 8:45am.Grades K-6 enjoyed taking turns playing in the snow with classmates throughout the day.
Mahalo to B and C Trucking owner Verne Santos who annually donates 6 tons of snow as well as his trucking service to haul the total 18 ton load of snow. Also, mahalo to Momilani Elementary and Hui O Momilani who also donate 6 tons each.
Thursday was another fantastic opportunity for Momilani Elementary School students to enjoy and experience snow this Christmas season. Thank you to Principal Doreen Higa for leading the way in making the spirit of Christmas fill the air at Momilani Elementary.
