Thank You to my fellow Rotarians from District 5000 who volunteered their time yesterday to distribute “free mask” to the public at Wahiawa District Park. The masks were donated by Robert Kurisu from Every1ne Hawaii. Over 6000 masks were available for distribution on Saturday from 10:00am-12:00pm.
Thank you to Rotary District 5000 District Governor Naomi Masuno for her leadership in coordinating the mask distribution with Robert Kurisu, Nicole Velasco and his amazing staff.
Also, thank you to District Governor Masuno for volunteering and bringing the following rotary clubs together to volunteer and serve as the presenters for Saturday’s distribution:
Wahiawa
West Pearl Harbor
Kapolei
Pearlridge
Mililani
West Honolulu
Every1ne Hawaii has purchased 2,000,000 masks that will make its way (free) to Hawaii residents to help keep everyone safe and healthy as we battle the COVID-19 pandemic.
It was my second Saturday in a row helping out to distribute the free Every1ne Hawaii masks to the community. I joined my fellow Pearl City Lions Club volunteers last Saturday to pass out 8000 free masks to the Pearl City community at the Pearl City Shopping Center. It is such a great feeling to experience the gratitude expressed by those in the community upon receiving their masks.
Thank you so much to Robert Kurisu and Every1ne for their generosity and continued support each week as they volunteer their time and invite community groups such as Rotary District 5000 to join them in the community as they look out for safety welfare of all residents.
Together we are working side by side by volunteering to make a difference in bettering the lives of those around the world.
“Rotary was honored to assist in Every1ne's generous mask giveaway at the Wahiawa District Park on May 9,” said Naomi Masuno, District Governor, Rotary District 5000. “The people who came were extremely grateful for the free mask and they were touched that someone cared for their well being and their community. It was important to us to partner with Every1ne to make this happen and be part of the movement to make an impact. Rotarian's live by our motto "Service Above Self" and this was an opportunity take action and do good in the world.”
