It was really nice to once again volunteer in the community this morning with my special friend and fellow Lion Mary Takeshita during the Mana Loa Nimitz Lions Club beautification project in the parking lot of Best Buy in Aiea.
The beautification project which began in the darkness at 6:30am was led by Dexter Aoki along with a very dedicated and hardworking team of Mana Loa Nimitz Lion Club community volunteers who painted over graffiti, trimmed back bushes, cleared weeds, and picked up rubbish in the area and along a portion of the Pearl Harbor Bike path.
I was honored and appreciative for the opportunity to volunteer side by side with friends from the Mana Loa Nimitz Lion Club while representing the Pearl City Lions Club. It was a fun and rewarding volunteer project that kicked off my commitment to serving the Pearl City and Aiea communities in 2021.
