Pearl City’s Dacoda Agoto and Joshua Aribal both blasted homeruns, driving in 6 runs to power the Chargers over the visiting Campbell Sabers 7-6 in OIA varsity Baseball played at Pearl City High School on Saturday.
Dacoda’s 3-run homerun gave the Chargers a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the first inning. Aribal’s 3-run homerun fueled Pearl City’s four-run rally in the bottom of the fourth inning that put the Chargers up 7-6 and never looked back.
Aribal also got the start for the Chargers pitching 3 innings, giving up 2 hits, 5 runs, with 6 strikeouts.
Eli Oshiro earned the win for the Chargers after relieving Aribal to the start the top of the fourth inning. Oshiro pitched 4 innings giving up 3 hits, 1 run with 1 strikeout.
Kamanui Saito took the loss for the Sabers pitching 1 inning and giving up 2 hits, and 4 runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Joshua Aribal led the Chargers at the plate hitting 2-4 with a HR, 3 RBI, and a run scored. Dacoda Agoto batted 1-2 with a HR, 3 RBI and a run scored. Micah Zeller went 1-3 with 2 runs scored. Drew Boyles batted 1-3.
Laakea Anders led the Sabers at the plate hitting 3-4 with a RBI and run scored.
