Recognizing Police Appreciation Week at the Pearl City Police Station

May 14, 2021 | PC Community

I want to express my sincere appreciation to the men and women of the Honolulu Police Department who put their lives on the line with each day to keep us safe and protected in the communities that they serve throughout Hawaii.

In celebration of Police Week, I tagged along this afternoon with my good friends Kelsey Poaha and Jits Fujimura from the Pearl City Community Association to deliver goodies to HPD Officers at the Pearl City Police Station. HPD Officer Jensen Okagawa greeted us with a couple officers to receive two boxes of hot manapua from Kelsey and Jits (PCCA) and a sushi platter from me (MyPearlCity.com).

It felt really good to give back to the officers and to say thank you. From their hearts, they expressed their gratitude for the kind gesture and for being recognized for their dedication to serve the Pearl City community.

After looking at the photo of Kelsey, Jits and me, I realized that we all represent current and past Pearl City Community Association Presidents. Kelsey is the current PCCA President and Jits and I served as President for two terms within the past 10 years. It was quite an honor to be with them today and to continue to serve our Pearl City community together.

Sending prayers for the safety, well-being, and respect for our police officers on duty across
