“This is a blessing. We didn’t think we were going to have a season, but it came out and we pulled through. It’s fun to play. I want to say thank you to mom, dad, brother, sister and my girlfriend.”

Connor Puchert

I’m really sad that I didn’t get to have that full senior experience. It was really fun having an actual season, but it was also sad that we didn’t get playoffs and didn’t get a championship. Thank you to my parents and my brothers. They always support me when I need them.

Lee Naea

“The hardest thing about being a senior is getting the work done and I know senioritis hits a lot and you don’t get work done. It’s about getting your work done and trying your hardest. I want to thank my mama, my sister and everyone else. Thank you!”

Jacob Kamanao- Bulosan

“Being a senior is a bittersweet moment. It’s your last year here in high school and you gotta make everything count. My experience is like; it’s one of the best years to have as a senior. You’re going away, you’re graduating and moving on to the next chapter, but you know, high school will always be high school. You just have to cherish every moment that you have here. I want to thank my family for always supporting me and pushing me and making me the person and player that I am today. Thank you to my coaches and teammates for encouraging me, pushing me every day at practice for me to be the best player on the court.”

Charger Head Coach Sean Chang

“I’m proud the way our team played. I’m proud the way our team came together in such a shortened season. To our seniors, it’s amazing to see what they’ve become. I’m super bummed that they didn’t have a bigger stage to show it on. Some type of playoff or championship, but it is what it is and I’m glad they got to show what they got this season and I wish them all the best.

This season has been a great opportunity for everyone just to get out and do something post COVID, and I would just like to thank the OIA for the opportunity to have a season this season.”
