Pearl City Complex receives generous donation from Aiea School Supply Drive organizers

I would like to recognize and extend a heartfelt thank you to Nancy Hsu and the Aiea High School PTSO for their generous donation to our Pearl City Complex Schools of adult and keiki face shields, along with 3.5 pallets of hand sanitizer.

The face shields were given to me on Saturday at the Aiea School Supply Drive that is annually held at St. Timothy’s Church in Aiea. The Aiea School Supply Drive is in honor of the late Breene Harimoto.

The 3.5 pallets of hand sanitizer were dropped off to Pearl City Highlands Elementary School earlier in the week.

Saturday’s school supply drive was another huge success due to the hard work of Nancy and her Aiea High School PTSO team of dedicated volunteers and support from businesses, area elected officials, and community organizations.

Nancy Hsu, Coordinator, Aiea School Supply Drive and Aiea community leader

“We got the masks donated by Kawaii clothing and another non-profit also donated. Over 6000 face shields were donated. Another non-profit group donated over 17 pallets of hand sanitizer. Actually a parent from Aiea High School who works for the donating organization called me and asked if I wanted the hand sanitizer. We were able to drop off 14 pallets to Aiea schools and 3.5 pallets to Pearl City Highlands Elementary School in Pearl City who will share the hand sanitizer with other schools in the Pearl City complex.

We were blessed with such an abundant supply of sanitizers and were happy to share with the 10 PC schools. Before we started our school supply drive on Saturday, we already had over $35, 000 in product donations.

Thank you to the Senators and other elected officials, Home Street Bank, and the Aiea PTSO who organized the school supply drive.”

MAHALO!
