This morning I had a wonderful opportunity to present the Highlands Intermediate School Interact Club and Student Council with a $250.00 check donation from the Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association.
I was truly honored to represent both the Rotary Club of Pearlridge Rotary Interact Leadership Program and the Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association.
It was so rewarding to receive the many thank you’s and heartfelt appreciation for the donation from the students and their teacher/advisor Mr. Eric White. I would also like to recognize my fellow Rotary Club of Pearlridge Interact team members for the Highlands Intermediate Interact Club, Dick Mosko and Enily Kuraoka.

“On behalf of Highlands Intermediate, we the Highlands Student Council, humbly accept the generous donation to our school from the Pearl City Shopping Center! We will use this money to buy supplies for our upcoming Campus Beautification campaign to turn all the "Green to Purple!" campus wide. This will instill school spirit and pride as Highlands Intermediate Colts and strengthen our connection to Pearl City High School.”
Pearl City Shopping Center owner, Duane Kurisu continues to support Pearl City District Complex Schools with generous financial contributions presented annually by the Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association. Support for our students helps provide resources for achieving their youth leadership goals as they learn and build their leadership skill as an Interact Club member.
