Radford dominates second half to beat Pearl City 39-21 in OIA D2 Varsity Football

The Radford Rams (1-0) powered their way past the visiting Pearl City Chargers (1-1) last night in OIA D2 Varsity Football with an impressive 39-21 win at John E, Velasco Stadium.

Christian Payton led the Rams rushing for 145 yards on 21 carries with 2 touchdowns. Payton also caught 2 passes for 38 yards and 1 touchdown.

Rams QB Kalob Victorino-Avilla completed 21 of 35 passes for 260 yards with 3 touchdowns and 1 interception.
Jack Carlson hauled in 8 passes for 112 yards and 1 touchdown.

Pearl City QB Sefo Feesago completed 13 of 27 passes for 124 and 1 touchdown. Feesago also rushed for 72 yards on 9 carries with 1 touchdown.

Caleb Kaai picked up 61 yards on 9 carries for the Chargers.

Joshua Gleason caught 6 passes for 87 yards and 1 touchdown to lead the Chargers in receiving.

The Rams led the Chargers 27-21 at the half and outscored the Chargers 12-0 in the second half to earn the win.

Pearl City will host PAC-5 on Friday, October 29 which will follow 25 minutes after the conclusion of the junior varsity match-up between Pearl City vs. Kamehameha that kicks off at 5:00pm at Edwin Bino Neves Stadium.

Radford will take on McKinley at Roosevelt High School on Saturday, October 30 with kick-off scheduled for 6:00pm
