Chargers ride out of the Valley with 14-13 victory over the Golden Hawks

Congratulations to the Pearl City Chargers who defeated the Nanakuli Golden hawks 14-13 in OIA West Division 2 Football last night at Nanakuli High School.

The Charger pulled even at 2-2 (overall) 2-1 (OIA West D2 league standings)

The Golden Hawks 2-1 suffered their first loss of season.

Pearl City benefitted from an outstanding rushing performance from Caleb Kaai who pounded out 141 yards on 23 carries. Charger QB Sefo Feesago rushed for 33 yards on 7 carries with 1 touchdown. Feesago also passed for 61 yards completing 5 of 17. Mark Moreno rushed for 5 yards on 2 carries with 1 touchdown.

Nanakuli QB Keahi Ah Sui passed for 252 yards completing 24 of 42. Ah Sui also rushed for 81 yards on 11 carries with 1 touchdown. Joseph Lewis IV rushed for 63 yards on 14 carries with 1 touchdown. Lewis also caught 6 passes for 90 yards.

Pearl City returns to action on Friday, November 12 against the Kaiser Cougars at Kaiser High School. Kick-off is set for 7:30pm.

Nanakuli will host McKinley on Saturday, November 13 at 6:00pm.

on a 6 yard touchdown run late in the second quarter.

Joshua Gleason scored on a 2-point conversion pass from Feesago

to put the Chargers up over the Golden Hawks 14-0.

Nanakuli QB Keahi Ah Sui scored the Golden Hawks first touchdown on

14 yard run with time running out in the second quarter. Ah Sui is pictured

crashing into the end zone or the score,  into the end zone Nanakuli scored

the only points of the second half on a hird quarter 5 yard touchdown run by

Joseph Lewis IV. The Golden Hawks missed a potential ame tieing PAT.
