Chargers drop season finale to Falcons 30-16

Kalani defeated Pearl City last night 30-16 at Edwin Bino Neves Stadium to close out both teams 2021 OIA D2 varsity football season. Kalami 6-2 and Pearl City 5-4 missed the post season OIA Championship Playoffs finishing 3rd and 4th in league standings.

Kalani QB Logan Lim led the Falcons on offense completing 9 of 16 passes for 50 yards and also rushed for 48 yards on 12 carries. Kalani running back Josh Oh led the Falcon rushing attack picking up 136 yards on 21 carries with 2 touchdowns.

Pearl City QB Sefo Feesago passed for 123 yards competing 11 of 20 with 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions. Joshua Gleason caught 5 passes for 60 yards and 1 touchdown.

Charger running back Caleb Kaai rushed for 54 yards on 7 carries.

Pearl City’s Micah Higa scored the final touchdown of the ball game on a 60 yard kick-off return late in the fourth quarter.

Kalani’s Noa Uchida scored on a 38 yard run late in the 4th quarter

to increase the Falcon’s lead over the Chargers to 28-8. The Falcon’s

converted the 2-point conversion to take a 30-8 lead.

Pearl City’s Micah Higa returned the kick-off 60 yards following

the Falcon’s score to trail the Falcon’s 30-14. The Chargers converted

the 2-point conversion to pull within 14 points at 30-16.
