Pearl City to play for OIA JV Baseball Championship after 7-6 semifinal win over Roosevelt

Congratulations to the Pearl City Chargers who earned their way to the OIA JV Baseball Championship title game after defeating Roosevelt 7-6 yesterday afternoon at Stevenson Field in Makiki.

Noah Kia earned the win for Chargers after relieving starter Tyler Nishimura in the 4th inning. Pearl City entered the top of the 5th inning trailing the Roughriders 2-0 before erupting for a 6 run rally highlighted by Jayson Au Hoy's 3-run home run over the right field fence.

The Roughriders put together a 4 run rally in the bottom of 7th inning to pull within one run of the Chargers lead at 7-6.

The Chargers will take on Campbell on Saturday for the championship at Mililani High School. First pitch is scheduled for 11:00 am. Campbell defeated Moanalua on Wednesday to advance to the championship. Pearl City and Campbell split the regular season:
