Lady Chargers stay out of the win column with 12-5 loss to Lady Mules

The Leilehua Lady Mules had no trouble picking up their second win of the regular season on Saturday after defeating the Pearl City Lady Chargers 12-5 at Kaala Field in Wahiawa. Leilehua improved to 2-1 while Pearl City remained winless at 0-3 in OIA Western Division Softball league standings.

Trinity Cabana-Rodrigues earned the win for the Lady Mules pitching 3 2/3 innings allowing 4 runs, 6 hits with 2 strikeouts. Breeann Leong pitched 3 1/3 innings in relief allowing 1 run 3 hits with 1 strikeout.

Pearl City’s Grace Kikuchi took the loss in 3 innings of work for the Lady Chargers. Kikuchi allowed 8 runs, 8 hits with no strikeouts.  Ava Puaatuua gave up 4 runs, 4 hits with 1 strikeout in relief of Kikuchi.
