ALOHA KIANA, JASMINE, AND MYA! YOU WILL BE MISSED BUT FOREVER A LADY CHARGER…

Apr 23, 2022 | PC Sports

The Lady Chargers bid Aloha to seniors Jasmine Williams and Kiana Calleon on Friday as they played in their last regular season home game of their careers against the visiting Campbell Lady Sabers. The Lady Chargers also  bid Aloha in a heartfelt farewell to teammate Mya Grado who is moving to Arizona.

I spoke to Lady Chargers Head Coach Chad Obara about the girls during the Lady Chargers Class of 2022, Senior Day Celebration.

Jasmine Williams

“Jasmine has been out here all four years and has improved a whole lot in the four years since I first saw her to this point. She also runs track so I think she’ll be okay for the future, so I’m happy for her.”

Kiana Calleon

“Kiana is the same thing as Jasmine with much improvement the fours that I have known her. Just for her to be out here and help us out,  she has a job so she makes time to be out here and be with the team and help us actually be able to play games. Like Jasmine with track, they’re making sacrifices to be out here so they’re very much appreciated.”

Mya Grado

“As far as Mya Grado, shortened time with that girl. The future is bright for her. I’ve told her that she has the potential to be a special player and hopefully she feels that we’ve given her something to go off to Arizona and help her be successful over there. Yah, she’s leaving us for Arizona.”

The Lady Chargers aren’t done yet. They will compete in next week’s OIA DI Softball Championship Playoffs on Wednesday with opponent, location, and time TBA.

GO LADY CHARGERS!
