Makua Leilani, prayers fill her soul, love warms the hearts of those that are touched by her special gifts

Dec 26, 2022 | Heart and Soul

I am so grateful to have received the following email below today from an angel who is a very dear friend of mine. Makua Leilani gives from her heart, even at times when she is physically unable to, she thinks of others first.

Makua Leilani always reaches out with compassion and kindness to bring comfort while brightening someone’s day through the true spirit of Aloha. She has a very loving and caring family that are always by her side to fulfill her life’s long mission of bettering the lives of those she comes in contact with through her gift of giving to others.

Thank you Makua Leilani and God Bless…

From Makua Leilani:

Just wanted to share…

This year has been really tough for me to do community projects because I got hit with Covid, Flu A, and Flu B. Getting all that was a challenge since I have other medical issues…Walking for me became difficult and this is the first time in a long while I have been bedridden with sickness for 21 days straight.  There were many times I wanted to give up. I felt like I had no hope to do anything and wouldn’t be able to help those in need this Christmas.

Thanks to my MANAful sisters and my 2 army sisters I met from the Philippines because of  BTS, they all have encouraged me that I could do it and have prayed and kept in touch with me each time I was down with sickness…I do believe God has given me the  strength and focus that I needed  to fufill donations round ups goals of 50 toys for Toys 4 Tots, 20 gift cards for a church to give to the houseless, 30 backpacks stuffed with school supplies for Hale Kipa,  50 toys for Santa’s Workshop at Kapiolani Medical Center, and 100 wish list items for Ronald McDonald House Hawaii thanks to recycles, donations, and fun challenges from people who believe in what we do and support us.  Without them, it would not have been possible to round up donations in time for Christmas…Now that we are done with our projects for this year, people already have been donating toys and gift cards for our next year Christmas 2023 projects.  Feeling so blessed.

Wishing you and your ‘ohana a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Please stay safe, happy, and healthy.  May God continue to bless you in all that you do.  You are truly Mr. Aloha.

Mahalo,

Makua Leilani
