Pearl City wins OIA DI Baseball Playoffs opening round 5-0 over Farrington

Congratulations to the Pearl City Chargers who blanked the Farrington Governors 5-0 on Monday in the opening round of the 2023 Oahu Interscholastic Association Division I Baseball Championships Playoffs played at Farrington High School. The win advances W5 Pearl City to the playoff quarterfinals to face W1 Campbell at Campbell High School on Tuesday with first pitch scheduled for 3:00pm.

Drew Boyles picked up the Chargers win over the Governors pitching 6 2/3 innings while allowing no runs, 4 hits, with 4 strikeouts. Caleb Felix pitched 1/3 inning in relief for the Chargers. Farrington’s Alex Shiroma took the loss in 6 innings of work for the Governors. Shiroma allowed 5 runs, 5 hits, with 6 strikeouts. Shayden Kane pitched 1 inning in relief for Governors while allowing 1 hit and no runs.
