The 2023 Hawaii District 7 Little League Intermediate 50/70 Championship Tournament got underway this afternoon at Pacheco Park in Pearl City with Waipio defeating Ewa Beach 15-0 (F/4).
Waipio exploded at the plate in the bottom of the fourth inning scoring seven runs to force the 15-run rule after four complete innings of play.
Waipio advanced to take on Pearl City on Friday at Pacheco Park with first pitch scheduled for 4:00pm. Ewa Beach will take on the Waipio vs. Pearl City loser on Saturday, June 17 at Manana Park with first pitch schedule for 10:00am. Winner advances to Sunday’s championship game at Manana Park and will face the winner of the Waipio vs. Pearl City match up in the double elimination formatted tournament. IF game (if needed) will follow 30 minutes after the Sunday’s opening championship game which is scheduled for 10:00am.
