Special Olympics Hawaii Athletes Kick Off 28th AnnualAukake Classic, August 12-13

WHAT: Special Olympics Hawaii athletes have blazed through the 2023 summer season! The summer season wraps up this weekend, August 12-13, 2023 at the 28th Annual Aukake Classic at Waiau District Park. The two-day event will bring together more than 425 athletes and coaches from across the state. Competition includes a five-a-side soccer tournament, individual skills soccer competition as well as traditional and unified bocce tournaments. 

Athletes trained from June through August and participated in area and regional competitions to qualify for the event. The Aukake Classic is one of three state competitions that Special Olympics Hawaii holds annually.

11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Soccer Individual Skills Competition   
11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Traditional Bocce

9:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Unified® Bocce  
9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Soccer
