The visiting Moanalua Menehune shut out the Pearl City Chargers 31-0 on Friday in a non-conference OIA Junior Varsity Football match-up played at Pearl City High School’s Edwin Bino Neves Stadium.

The Menehune kept the Chargers out of the end zone by controlling the line of scrimmage and also scoring on defense on a couple safeties that sacked Charger QB Ikaika Torres in the end zone. The Menehune scored their first points of the ball game on a safety early in first quarter.

The Chargers were coming off of last Friday’s impressive 20-14 regular season league opener on the road against the Roosevelt Roughriders.

The Chargers will return to action in another non-conference match-up against the Kailua Surfriders on Saturday, September 16, 6:00pmn at Pearl City High School.

GO CHARGERS!
