PEARL CITY CHARGERS OVER KAIMUKI BULLDOGS 34-27, moves to 6-0

The Pearl City Chargers defeated the visiting Kaimuki Bulldogs last night 34-27 at Pearl City High School’s Edwin Bino Neves Stadium. Pearl City remains unbeaten at 6-0 in Oahu Interscholastic Association DII Varsity Football regular season standings. Kaimuki fell to 3-3 in league standings.

Last night’s OIA Division II match-up featured potent passing performances by Pearl City QB Trey Dacoscos and Kaimuki QB Josefa Letuli. Dacoscos completed 21-34 for 303 yards and 4 touchdowns with no interceptions. Letuli completed.15-28 for 225 yards and 2 touchdowns with no interceptions.

Pearl City wide receiver Javian Mizuno led all receivers in the ball game hauling in 5 catches for 116 yards and 2 touchdowns. Mizuno scored the Chargers second touchdown of the ball game on an outstanding 83-yard touchdown reception from QB Dacoscos in the second quarter.

Jeremiah White led Kaimuki in receiving catching 8 passes for 109 yards and 2 touchdowns.

The game was pretty close in net offense with Pearl City having the edge over Kaimuki 395-342.

The Chargers will take on Kalani (2-3) in their regular season finale on Friday, October 13 at Edwin Bino Neves Stadium. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:00pm.

The Chargers have already earned the top seed in the upcoming OIA DII Championship Tournament.
