Congratulations and mahalo to the Pearl City High School Interact Club for their dedication, commitment, and hard work that is driven by exceptional and inspirational leadership in the classroom and in communities here in Hawaii and around the world.

Recently, Pearl City High School Interact Club members and their advisors, split up into two groups to volunteer their time on Saturday, October 28 at the Pearl City Shopping Center’s annual Halloween Costume Contest & Trick or Treat Parade, and at the annual City & County of Honolulu Pearl Harbor Bike Path Clean-up Day.

PCHS Interact Club members and advisor Vanessa Tadena served as costume contest judges at the Halloween Costume Contest, and another team of PCHS Interact Club members and advisor Dane Souza partnered with Rotary Club of Pearlridge (RCOP) community volunteers to beautify the Puuloa Springs Native Hawaiian Garden located on the Pearl Harbor Bike Path and historic Pearl Harbor shoreline between Blasidell Park and HECO Waiau Power Plant in Pearl City.

Saturday’s Puuloa Springs Native Hawaiian beautification clean-up project received special recognition from the local news media as the PCHS Interact Club was interviewed and featured by KHON 2 on their Saturday evening news broadcast for their work in beautifying a portion of the Pearl Harbor Bike Path during the Honolulu City & County Pearl Harbor Bike Path Clean-up.

The PCHS Interact Club also participates in the Rotary Club of Pearlridge monthly maintenance of the Puuloa Springs Native Hawaiian Garden led by RCOP Puuloa Springs Project Chair Lasar McCabe, and RCOP President and Past District Governor Dick Mosko, along with an amazing group of RCOP community volunteers.
