The Pearl City Chargers beat the visiting Kalani Falcons 2-1 Friday night at Pearl City High School to win the 5th/6th place consolation bracket of the 2023/2024 Oahu Interscholastic Association Division I Varsity Boys Soccer Championship Playoffs. The game got a late start after a 45 minute delay due to the Falcons getting caught in heavy Friday afternoon H-I traffic.
Pearl City’s Manoa Joao Monteiro scored two second half Charger goals in the win.
Both the Chargers and Falcons qualified for the upcoming 2023/2024 HHSAA State Division I Varsity Boys Soccer Championship Tournament.
Kapolei blanked Kailua 2-1 Friday night in the OIA Division I Varsity Boys Soccer Championship 3rd/4th place game played at Pearl City High School.
