Mahalo to the Pearl City community and their ohana along with friends and neighbors for coming out to the 3rd Annual Pearl City Easter Egg Hunt held at the Momilani Community Center in Pearl City on Saturday, March 23, 2024. Naomi Tully-Ungacta and me, Barry Villamil are Co-founders and Co-chairs for the Annual Pearl City Easter Egg Hunt and we are truly grateful for the support from the community, title sponsor Hawaiian Electric and presenting sponsors Pearl City Foundation and Pearl City Shopping Center that annually contribute to the success of the Easter Egg Hunt.

It was such a great feeling to see all the happy faces as we welcomed 500 keiki and their ohana to the Momilani Community Center on Saturday. The excitement was overwhelming as keiki and their ohana anxiously lined-up for the start of each of the 10 Easter Egg Hunt sessions. After collecting 10 eggs each, the Easter Egg hunters made their way to the prize tables in the Momilani Community Center to collect their prizes, and for the lucky ones, a Golden Egg Prize!

A very special mahalo to our emcee Terry Visperas (voice of UH athletics) who did a great job keeping the Easter Egg Hunt running smoothly throughout the event that ran from 8:00am-11:30am. True professional.

Naomi and I are also extremely grateful to have been honored by the Hawaii State Senate and House of Representatives with a joint certificate recognizing our partnership and success of the Annual Pearl City Easter Egg Hunt that unites our Pearl City community and visitors to our community for a fun and family-oriented event that celebrates Easter through the Aloha spirit of giving. Mahalo to Senator Brandon Elefante and Representative Gregg Takayama for drafting the joint certificate and for making the presentation along with Representative Cory Chun on Saturday at the 3rd Annual Pearl City Easter Egg Hunt.

Mahalo to the Mana Loa Nimitz Lions Club, Pearl City Lions Club, Pearl City Boy Scout Troop 75, HomeStreet Bank, Tully ohana and other community volunteers who generously donated their time on Saturday to help out with event set-up and breakdown, registration, Easter Egg Hunt sessions, Easter Egg Hunt prize, Golden Egg prize, raffle winner’s tables, and Grand Prize registration.

Mahalo to Hawaiian Electric and Hawaii Energy for hosting an educational, interactive and fun Energy Efficiency Fair in the Momilani Community Center pavilion.

Mahalo to 3rd Annual Easter Egg Hunt attendees who supported the Pearl City High School Project Grad 2024 snack and beverage booth with proceeds to benefit the graduating seniors from the PCHS Class of 2024. The 3rd Annual Pearl City Easter Egg Hunt organizers also presented PCHS Project Grad 2024 committee chairs with a $200.00 check donation in support of the program.

A very special mahalo to all our generous sponsors. Mahalo for supporting our keiki and Pearl City community!

HAPPY EASTER!
