Pearl City pulls even at 3-3 with 8-5, extra inning win over Nanakuli

The Pearl City Chargers are riding high on a three game win streak after defeating the Nanakuli Golden Hawks 8-5 in 11 innings on Wednesday at Nanakuli High School. The Golden Hawks defended their home turf to the end battling the visiting Chargers through 11 innings before a three-run top of the 11th inning Charger rally proved to be the game winner as Nanakuli went scoreless in the bottom half of the inning.   

Pearl City’s Jace Lorenzo earned the win in relief for the Chargers pitching 6 innings while allowing no runs, 5 hits with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts. Halona Felix got the start for Pearl City pitching 3.6 innings while allowing all 5 runs, 6 hits with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts. Noah Kia pitched 1.3 innings in relief of Felix while allowing no runs, 1 hit with no walks and no strikeouts.

Donald Kapaku took the loss for the Golden Hawks pitching 5.6 innings while allowing 4 runs, 5 hits with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts. Jordan Kay pitched 5.3 innings for the Golden Hawks while allowing 4 runs, 5 hits with 3 walks and 1 strikeout.

Pearl City once again spread the wealth at the plate and base path:
