Aiea’s Brennan Panis continued to dominate from the mound in the OIA Western Division I Baseball earning another regular season win against Pearl City. Panis pitched 6 complete innings while allowing 3 hits, 5 runs, with I walk and 7 strikeouts. Panis also had an outstanding day at the plate for the Na Ali’i hitting 3-5 with a double and a run scored. Kylan Kono closed out the game in the seventh inning for Aiea allowing no runs, no hits with 1 walk and 1 strikeout.
Jase Lorenzo took the loss for the Chargers in 3.6 innings of work. Lorenzo allowed 4 runs, 4 hits with 1 walk and 2 strikeouts. Devin Won, Halona Felix and Noah Kia pitched in relief for the Chargers.
Aiea crushed it at the plate against Pearl City pitching outhitting the Chargers 14-3 with 6 extra base hits (6 doubles).
Aiea’s 10-5 win over Pearl City on Wednesday gives the Na Ali’i an OIA Western Division I regular season 2-game sweep of the Chargers.
