I would like to pay my respects to our fallen American Warriors as we honor their spirited souls on Memorial Day for their sacrifice protecting us all as Americans, as well as others around the world in time of War and Peace.
Mahalo to the Scouting Aloha Council for honoring our fallen American Warriors on Sunday, May 24, 2025, at the National Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl. Scouts placed American Flags and lei on over 2000 graves at the National Cemetery. Scouts placed the flags and lei, and also read out the names of the fallen on the headstones followed by a salute to honor them while paying their respects for their service and sacrifice.
The 74th Mayor’s Memorial Day Ceremony also featured opening remarks by special guest speaker Garrison Commander Colonel Rachel Sullivan.
The 25th Infantry Division Band was outstanding, providing music throughout the opening ceremony and event.
Wishing you a safe Memorial Day.
