The Rotary Club of Pearlridge (RCOP) continued their 2024-2025 Dictionary 5000 Good Citizen Awards presentations with a presentation at Manana Elementary School on Friday, May 23, 2025.
The RCOP Dictionary 5000 Good Citizen Awards are presented to two third graders in each of fourteen Aiea and Pearl City public and private schools who participate in the RCOP Dictionary 5000 annual free dictionary program.
The Good Citizen Award winners were chosen by their teachers for best exemplify the Principles of Rotary International’s “Four Way Test” throughout the school year:
“Four Way Test”
1. Is it the truth;
2. Is it fair to all concerned,
3. Will it bring good will and better friendships
4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned.
RCOP Past President and Past District 5000 Governor Dick Mosko presented Manana Elementary third grader Rael with his Good Citizen Award that included a $50.00 check and recognition letter. Mr. Mosko also announced Alyssa as a Good Citizen Award winner. Alyssa was not present on Friday.

Mahalo to Manana Elementary School third grade teachers Ms. Cynthia Nagamine and Ms. Iris Stokes for welcoming us into their classrooms to present and announce Rael and Alyssa as 2024-2025 Good Citizen Award recipients. Mahalo for a wonderful “Four Way Test” Good Citizen Award video presentation.
Also, in a very special presentation, Principal Bryan Loo presented Rael with the prestigious 2024-2025 Manana Elementary Good Citizen Award medal. Congratulations!
The Rotary Club of Pearlridge donated over 870 dictionaries to third graders and their teachers in the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year. The RCOP annually finances the free dictionary program through the Rotary Club of Pearlridge Foundation.
