Pearl City falls short of a champ win, but represented Hawaii with Aloha!

After a long week of baseball, our road comes to an end for now. It’s been amazing watching these boys battle through 8 games in 7 days.

Southern California took the win after a 2-1 game this afternoon.

No matter the outcome, all of the tournament volunteers and umpires shared how much they enjoyed sharing the field with Hawaii. They played with class, represented great character and sportsmanship, and shared the Aloha Spirit with everyone. The team won the support of all of the other teams, especially Montana and Nevada who came out to cheer on the boys the last few days. As manager Stuart Ujimori said, “that’s a win for us.” It’s good to see that no matter the outcome, they know they played well, and got to enjoy the rest of the night together.

Thank you to all of the community support from home. Thank you to everyone who donated or came out to Raising Canes. You have played a role in making these boys dreams come true. These memories will last them a lifetime. It takes a community like Pearl City for amazing things to happen. It’ll be fun to see them take the field together again during high school season.
