Pearl City running back Alohi Gaspar had a stellar performance last night rushing for 107 yards and 5 touchdowns in the Chargers 56-6 blowout win over the visiting Kaimuki Bulldogs played before a packed house at Pearl City High School’s Edwin Bino Neves Stadium.
Charger QB Ikaika Torres passed for 169 yards while completing 10-17 with 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions. Kaze Texeira caught 5 passes for 62 yards. Christian Kihewa caught 1 pass for 55 yards and 1 touchdown.
The Chargers improved to 3-0 (4-2 overall) white Kaimuki remained winless at 0-3 (0-4 overall) in Oahu Interscholastic Association Division II league standings.
On defense, the Chargers recorded three interceptions, one a piece from Tayden Ellazar-Texeira, Kealiiomana Keola, and Ivan Henry Kahalewai.
Next up, the Chargers go on the road on Friday, September 26 to take on the Roosevelt Rough Riders at Roosevelt High School. Kick-off is set for 7:30pm.
