I am truly honored to have represented both the Rotary Club of Pearlridge Foundation and Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association on Friday, September 19 to present Pearl City High School Interact Club President Jaylin Shirafuji with $250.00 annual check donations from both organizations.
The Rotary Club of Pearlridge annually provides financial assistance in the amount $250.00 to each of the following Interact Clubs (schools) in Pearl City and Aiea:
Pearl City High School
Highlands Intermediate School
Our Lady of Good Counsel School
Cross Academy School
The Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association also annually provides financial assistance to the following interact Clubs (schools) in Pearl City:
Pearl City High School
Highlands Intermediate School
The annual check donations assist each Interact Club to fund community service / humanitarian projects in Hawaii, USA, and Internationally.
I was also honored on Friday during the PCHS Interact Club lunchtime meeting with a heartfelt “Mahalo” poster designed and signed by club members. They also featured a “Mahalo” power point presentation slide that featured photos from community service projects that we volunteered together with other Rotary Club of Pearlridge members and community volunteer organization.
It was an overwhelming and humble experience that I will never forget. A very special moment in my life from a group of amazing and caring Rotary Interact Club members along with their advisor/teacher Mr. Dane Souza.
I am truly appreciative and grateful for the opportunity to represent the Rotary Club of Pearlridge and Pearl City Shopping Merchants Association in support of our youth as they grow and share their leadership skills and huge hearts with the world.
