This past week, Butte Little League traveled from Montana to Oʻahu, and the trip began with the impact made by Pearl City Little League last summer.
At the 2025 Seniors West Regional Tournament in Oakland, Pearl City represented Hawaiʻi with pride and built strong friendships with teams across the West Region, especially Montana. Even though they did not play each other, the connection was strong enough that Butte Little League fundraised to bring their players and families to Hawaiʻi.
During their visit, the teams hung out at Central O’ahu Regional Park and shared a taste of Hawaiian and local food at a potluck hosted by Pearl City families. The families from Montana also supported Pearl City High School Baseball and attending the University of Hawai’i Baseball games. Besides baseball, the families explored other attractions around the island.
The Pearl City community should be proud. Our players did more than compete. They represented Hawaiʻi with the Aloha Spirit and made such a strong impression that it brought over 60 people from the Montana team all the way to our community, majority for their first time.
