Mililani captures OIA Western Division I Baseball League Title with 2-1 win over Pearl City

Mililani rallied for two runs in the top of the fifth inning to jump in front of Pearl City 2-1 while holding the Chargers scoreless in the final two innings to go on and capture the 2026 OIA Western Division I regular season league title on Wednesday at Pearl City High School.

Mililani’s Knox Marzo was the hero at the plate for the Trojans driving in Ezra Ugale and Kameron Pongasi with the tying and winning runs in the top of the fifth inning.

Mililani (8-1, 9-1 overall) avenged an earlier 5-4 regular season loss to Pearl City (7-3, 7-4 overall) with the league title win on Wednesday.

Mililani starting pitcher Zayne Hookala went the distance for the Trojans pitching a gem while holding Charger bats to 3 hits, 1 run with 3 walks and 10 strikeouts.

Pearl City’s Talon Paahao took the loss pitching 5 compete innings while allowing 5 hits, 2 runs with 1 walk and 2 strikeouts. Imipono Kala pitched 2 innings in relief for the Chargers while allowing no hits, no runs with no walks and 1 strikeout.
