The Moanalua Menehune broke a 4-4 tie in the bottom of the 10th inning scoring the winning run to defeat the Pearl City Chargers 5-4 in the First Round of the 2026 HHSAA State Wally Yonamine Foundation Championship Tournament played at Hans L ‘Orange Field in Waipahu. The Menehune advance to the Championship Tournament Semifinal Round to face #1 seed Waiakea Warriors on Thursday, 7:00pm at Hans L ‘Orange Field. The loss drops the Chargers into the Championship Tournament consolation bracket. Pearl City will take on Kaiser on Thursday at Pearl City High School. First pitch is scheduled for 10:00am.
