The Pearl City Chargers moved to a perfect 2-0 (league) 4-0 (overall) after defeating the Kalani Falcons Saturday night 48-0 in Oahu Interscholastic Association Division II Varsity Football played at Kaiser High School. Kalani remained winless at 0-2 (league) 0-4 (overall).
Pearl City lit up the scoreboard throwing for 269 yards and 6 touchdowns behind the Chargers QB combo of:
o Jayden Delos Santos 8-10 completions for 156 yards and 3 TD’s
o Brydan Gaoiran 8-11 completions for 118 yards and 3 TD’s
Kaze Teixeira led the explosive and talented receiving core with 3 receptions for 99 yards and 3 touchdowns. Teixeira’s outstanding performance earned him Spectrum OC16 Impact Player of the Game. Congratulations Kaze!
Other leading Chargers receivers:
o Chansyn Robello-Oishi 7 receptions, 75 yards, 1TD
o Bronson Jayce-Abendanio 2 receptions, 59 yards, 2 TD‘s
Cole Reason led the Chargers ground game rushing for 109 yards on 16 carries and 1 TD.
The Chargers stellar defense held the Falcons to 81 yards of net offense and off the scoreboard. The Chargers outgained the Falcons 383-81 yards of net offense.

Pearl City will take its undefeated record up against the Kalaheo Mustangs 2-0 (league) 3-0 (overall) in a battle of the undefeated on Saturday, September 19 at Pearl City High School’s Edwin Bino Neves Stadium. Kick-off is set for 6:30pm.
