The Pearl City Shopping Center continued their support oi Pearl City District Complex Elementary Schools through their Annual $1000.00 Outreach Donation Program that rotates between eight Pearl City elementary schools with donations made annually to two Pearl City elementary schools.
Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association Community Outreach Donation Program representatives Irwin Santos and Barry Villamil were honored to present Pearl City Elementary School Principal James Suster, and Kanoelani Elementary School Principal Neil Blomberg with $1000.00 check donations on Monday, September 14 at their school campuses.

“The donation we got from the Pearl City Shopping Center is going to help us in three big ways. One, we use it to help students who can’t afford their field trips, we can pay for field trips when different grade levels have it. The second thing we do is for our school wide activities, so we have a lot of school wide activities for parent engagement that we use this money for, and then the third way is we have an open storeroom where students who can’t afford supplies or don’t bring their supplies where teachers can go in and grab supplies for the students. It really helps benefit the school in those three ways, so we are really appreciative of the Pearl City Shopping Center for that.”

“So grateful today, our donation from the Pearl City Shopping Center is really going to benefit us. It’s going help our students with field trips, bus fees, giving those supplies and materials for students who may be having trouble affording them on their own. So this is just a really wonderful gift that we’re going to use really to the benefit of the students in Waipio here at Kanoelani Elementary School.”

Annual monetary donations are made possible by the success of Pearl City Shopping Center merchants who have provided world class products and services to loyal shopping center patrons for the past six and a half decades. Most importantly, there is a very special bond and friendship between Pearl City Shopping Center merchants and its patrons that is heartfelt, embraced, appreciated, and perpetuated throughout the shopping center property and community.
Giving back to the Pearl City community is the Heart and Soul of the Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association’s commitment to caring for its patrons, Pearl City residents, their ohana, and the overall welfare and happiness of the multi-generations who call Pearl City home.
